Our Bed Bumper has become a new favourite among Danish parents. The weight from cherry stones along its entire length makes it unique on the market and ensures that it lies heavy and stable, while the wool filling provides the best sleeping environment for little ones. The Bed Bumper creates a safe and soothing nest feeling and is therefore especially helpful for toddlers who toss and turn in their sleep.

Description of Bed Snake

The bed snake makes it easy to create a safe space for little and big ones alike, and at 2.5 metres and just under 8 kilos, it lets you surround the child just the way you want. Our bed snake is unique because it has an insert of cherry stones along its entire length, so it stays more firmly and stably in place than other bed snakes on the market.

The bed snake is perfect as a supervised nest for the little baby, as a cot bumper for the toddler, a play area, a reading nook, in the co-sleeper bed and much more. It has especially become a hit among toddlers who may find a “big boy/girl bed” feels unsafe and therefore sleep best when the space around them is made smaller. Then a soft enclosure from the bed snake can work wonders for sleep.

For babies and young children under 18 months, the bed snake should either be used under supervision, e.g. for play and tummy time, as a help for older siblings or for supervised daytime naps, or placed under a fitted sheet. This way you can still create a nest effect, but without the risk of the baby getting their head under the snake.

The bed snake is filled with cherry stones and wool, which is both allergy-friendly and antibacterial and therefore contributes to a healthy sleeping environment for the little ones.

The cover is sewn in OEKO-TEX certified cotton, which of course can be removed and washed.

Produced with care

Our products are sewn with the greatest possible care for the smallest members of the family, but also for the seamstress who has worked her magic on the fabric to create this beautiful product.

We have said "no thanks" to factory production and "yes please" to human and close collaboration. That is why the bed snake is sewn by skilled women at a Danish-owned sewing workshop in Bulgaria, where fair pay and working conditions are a matter of course, and where good dialogue and close cooperation at every stage are highly valued.

We have no doubt that the good energy can be both seen and felt in the finished product. We call it good work joy and good karma.

Product care

Washing instructions

The bed snake comes with an inner pillow and a removable cover with a zip. The cover can be washed at up to 60 degrees and can be tumble dried. The inner pillow can be spot cleaned with water and mild soap.

We encourage you not to wash the cover more than absolutely necessary, and if you have time, let it dry on the washing line rather than in the tumble dryer. That way you protect not only the cover but also the environment.

We go up to safety

Our luxury bed snake should be compared to other soft baby nests. You should therefore take precautions when using the bed snake for babies under 18 months.

This means that you should either keep the baby under supervision when she/he is in the bed snake, or place the bed snake under a fitted sheet.

This way you get the nest effect and the safe, snug feeling, but without the risk of the baby getting their head under the product.

Also always make sure there is enough air around the child's body so that she or he can release heat. When used in a cot, it is important that the base of the bed is low enough
that the child cannot use the bed snake as a step to climb out of the bed.

Bed Bumper

Why is our bed bumper a Danish favorite?

Our luxury bed snake has a total of about 4 kilos of cherry stones distributed along the entire length of the bed snake, which means it lies much more stably than other similar products on the market. In addition, we have replaced the polyester filling (plastic) with natural wool, which contributes to a healthy sleeping environment for the little ones.

Safe environment, safe children

Safe environments make for safe children, and with our Bed Snake we have made it a little easier to create a recognizable and safe environment for your child, which can be crucial for good sleep.

Our Bed Snake arose from the desire to create a product with many of the same functions as a baby nest, but which, unlike the traditional baby nest, can be used for many years.

Whether you have a baby, a toddler or an older child, Sengeslange can form a safe and comfortable frame that invites you to quiet cozy moments and sound sleep.

The bed hose is equipped with weight throughout its length, which means that it lies stable, regardless of how you choose to shape it around your little one. The bed snake gives you the opportunity to create the perfect nest for your best friend, whether it's for a baby, toddler or schoolchild.

Whether snoozing on the sofa or playing on the floor, the Bed Snake is also a good signal to older siblings that little brother or sister is here.

"The idea for..

..I got our luxury bed hose when our little family went from 3 to 4. I thought then that it was a challenge to have an infant and a toddler in the house at the same time, and I needed a product that could signal to big brother , that there is a little guy here that we have to take care of.
Now both boys have become somewhat older and both sleep in our family bed, each surrounded by their own bed snake".

Frequently asked questions about bed bumpers

What is a bed snake used for?

A bed snake is used to create a sense of security and a boundary in a child's bed. It acts as a soft protection against bars and edges, giving the child a calmer and more enclosed sleeping space. A luxury bed snake can also be used as a cot bumper, support pillow, or comfort pillow, making it useful for both babies and older children.

Is a bed snake with wool hypoallergenic?

Yes, a bed bumper made of wool is naturally hypoallergenic. Wool is a breathable natural material that effectively regulates temperature and moisture, creating a healthy sleeping environment for babies and children. Wool prevents the accumulation of moisture, in which dust mites thrive, and is therefore a good choice for children with sensitive skin or allergies.

How do you wash and maintain a wool bed snake?

A bed bumper made with wool should be washed gently to preserve the natural properties of the wool. We recommend using a wool program or hand washing at a low temperature, and using a wool detergent. The bed bumper should not be tumble dried, but should be laid flat to dry to maintain its shape, support, and comfort. Correct maintenance ensures long durability and optimal function.
